With the recent balance change mothman became quite the unviable kaiju. Having it's HP at 2700 would have been fine IF IT COULD ABUSE IT'S HURTBOXES. But no, due to the nature of mothman's hurtboxes it is guarenteed to be a damage trade where it fails miserably. Although mothman has a versatile enough moveset it's HP is so detrimental to it that it removes any sort of ''versatility'' due to being either too risky to melee a kaiju or just not having the potential to win most trades when it does try to use them. What projectiles it has expire too fast. The 5th attack still does not have any sort of damage reduction while using it, making it all the more useless. (Genuinely don't see why people would play mothman if they're not unstable.) -MrAz

A bit mixed on this, as glacia still has the same trapper playstyle from pre dmca. This playstyle is heavily situational, and it doesn't help that sometimes it can get forced out of it's safezone against certain kaiju (This means that the glacia player needs to improvise in scenarios like this which is a good thing but I'm personally still salty about it.). It's just painfully mediocre, as I don't think many people love the whole trapper playstyle. It would be nice if it were more like rose bio in terms of gameplay. It still does ok outside of it's garden. But the garden is where he gets the most powerful and has an advantage against most kaiju. I just wish he had more mobility. -MrAz

Some players find Mothman unviable due to its low HP and the nature of its hurtboxes, which lead to guaranteed damage trades that it often loses. Despite having a versatile moveset, the risk associated with melee attacks and the quick expiration of its projectiles diminish its effectiveness in battles. These factors contribute to a perception that Mothman is not a competitive choice among kaiju.
