With the recent balance change mothman became quite the unviable kaiju. Having it's HP at 2700 would have been fine IF IT COULD ABUSE IT'S HURTBOXES. But no, due to the nature of mothman's hurtboxes it is guarenteed to be a damage trade where it fails miserably. Although mothman has a versatile enough moveset it's HP is so detrimental to it that it removes any sort of ''versatility'' due to being either too risky to melee a kaiju or just not having the potential to win most trades when it does try to use them. What projectiles it has expire too fast. The 5th attack still does not have any sort of damage reduction while using it, making it all the more useless. (Genuinely don't see why people would play mothman if they're not unstable.) -MrAz

Through the careful abuse of hitboxes and hurtboxes saberyu manages to keep up with the meta to some extent. It has a good playstyle which can get countered fair and square by certain plastyles. Personally, saberyu doesn't need to be changed. Unless the meta shifts into kaiju who can't counter saberyu well. (Fast kaiju, and kaiju who have long range options or extended hitboxes.) -MrAz

Frequently Asked Questions
Mothman has been criticized for its low HP and ineffective hurtboxes, making it difficult to compete effectively in battles. In contrast, Saberyu is noted for its ability to keep up with the meta due to its effective hitbox management and playstyle. While Mothman struggles with versatility and survivability, Saberyu is seen as a more reliable choice unless faced with specific counters. Overall, Saberyu appears to be the stronger option in competitive scenarios.
Mothman's playstyle is hindered by its low HP and ineffective damage trades, making it a risky choice for melee engagements. On the other hand, Saberyu has a more favorable playstyle that allows it to adapt to the meta, utilizing its hitboxes effectively. While Mothman may have a versatile moveset, its limitations in survivability overshadow its potential. Saberyu, however, can maintain competitiveness unless faced with specific fast or long-range kaiju.
Currently, there are no user-generated pros for Mothman. However, the cons include its low HP of 2700, which makes it unviable as a kaiju. Its hurtboxes lead to unfavorable damage trades, and while it has a versatile moveset, the low HP limits its effectiveness. Additionally, its projectiles expire too quickly, and its fifth attack lacks damage reduction, making it less useful in combat.
The main issues with Mothman in gameplay include its low HP, which makes it vulnerable in battles. Players have noted that its hurtboxes guarantee unfavorable damage trades, and while it has a versatile moveset, the risk of melee combat is too high. Furthermore, its projectiles do not last long enough to be effective, and the fifth attack does not provide any damage reduction, rendering it less useful in competitive scenarios.
Some players find Mothman unviable due to its low HP and the nature of its hurtboxes, which lead to guaranteed damage trades that it often loses. Despite having a versatile moveset, the risk associated with melee attacks and the quick expiration of its projectiles diminish its effectiveness in battles. These factors contribute to a perception that Mothman is not a competitive choice among kaiju.
